Pest Solution Ltd may be the newest pest control business in Bury St Edmunds, but its owner Graham Limer has had plenty of experience in the trade.

Since 1982 he has worked for a number of companies, becoming an expert in the industry, but now he has struck out on his own with a domestic and commercial pest control business.

"I was working in London and I used to travel all over the country," said Mr Limer.

"But I've given up the commute and come back home to my family."

The business, run by Mr Limer with one employee, will concentrate on eradicating pests and proofing buildings against them.

"It's a funny business," said Mr Limer.

"The work is pretty constant but the pests change throughout the year.

"During the winter, you don't get many insects, but the cold weather drives rodents inside.

"In the past I've dealt with scorpions, black widow spiders and snakes that came into the country with imported foods – it's not what you expect from your normal UK pest!"
