The safe use of Aluminium Phosphide for the Control of Rabbits, Rats and Moles
Under The Control of Pesticide Regulations COPR you are unable to buy and use Rentokil Phostoxin or Certis Talunex unless any persons who will be using it have received adequate training or instruction in the use of these specific products.
This training course is of interest to farmers. horticultural staff, River Authority workers, grounds men, green keepers, professional mole controllers, local authority and public utility personnel, who will carry out the work of Rabbit, Mole or Rat control.
On completion of the Pest Solution training course we will issue a certificate which will certify that “persons name" has been instructed in the safe and correct use, handling, storage, hazard identification, regulatory requirements and first aid procedures for Talunex and Phostoxin.
Course Format
One day approx 6-8 hours, split venue; indoor training area and outdoor rabbit/mole/rat infested site for practical training.
Course Aims:
- To understand the reasons for control
- The biology of the pest: breeding, feeding, behavioral patterns, and use this information as an aid to better control.
- To identify control method: traps, gassing. etc and select and use the appropriate system for the best results.
- To safely and effectively handle-gassing agents at all times in a manner laid down in the Product Safety Data Sheet.
- To be aware of COSHH implications when handling these products
- To practice the relevant skills
