Pest Awareness Training

A very cost effective and practical way of providing support to food manufacturers and their staff.

With our experience working with food manufacturers and to their customers’ specifications, we realise that it can be beneficial for the employees of such companies to have some basic knowledge of the common pests and to understand how they can play an integral part in the pest management system. By providing site training and support we are able to work together ensuring premises are kept free of pests. These training courses can be run as part of general staff induction but most delegates usually come from specific roles such as QA, maintenance or hygiene. The courses introduce delegates to the ‘why, what and how’ of controlling pests within their own work environment. Training can be carried out at your own premises, in our training room at our Suffolk office or any other suitable location. On completion of the awareness training, delegates will have a better understanding and appreciation of the vital importance of pest control.

Course Content

The content of each course will be designed to reflect the possible problems with pests found in individual sites and will cover:

• Why pest control is so important?
• What are the main pests?
• The basic principles of pest control: Exclusion, Restriction and Destruction.
• How pest control is carried out on their site.
• What their role in pest control is.

Duration

The length of each course will vary depending on the site and on the depth of pest control knowledge required by the delegates. Each course is bespoke. Certificates of Attendance can be provided for all delegates.
