Damage to goods

Rodent teeth grow continuously throughout their lifetime and they need to gnaw to keep their font teeth short and sharp.

Damage to buildings

The enamel covering of rodent is extremely hard. They are caple of chewing through wood, plastic, metal such as lead, copper and aluminium and even concrete.

Damage to reputation

With headlines like these, a business’s reputation can be difficult to rebuild.

Disease

Due to a rodents lifestyle they can carry and transmit many diseases. Rats can carry potentially fatal Weil's disease. Rats and mice may also carry and transmit food poisoning bacteria such as Salmonella sp. or E.coli.

Contamination

Rats and mice do not have an effective bladder so urinate continually as they move. Mice also produce on average 80 droppings per day while rats an average of 40 per day.

Conforming with legal requirements

Under the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949, property owners and business have a legal obligation to control rodents on their premises.

Fear

Whether it is the speed that they move, their tail or their association with death, no horror film is complete without rats in a crypt or sewer.

Noise

When rodents gain access to wall cavities or lofts it will only be a matter of time before they emerge inside the building. Their movement can also keep you awake throughout the night.
